Attorney
First and foremost, I am your advocate. Whether you are a husband, a wife, a small business owner, a big business owner, or somewhere in between, I am on your team.
My practice focuses on business disputes, business divorces, domestic disputes, and domestic divorces. I am a firm believer that most disputes are just one creative solution away from resolution. And, when resolution can’t be obtained, I stand ready to serve as your zealous advocate.
As your advocate, I bring forth experience developed through my time at the Ohio Attorney General’s Office. While there, I conducted countless administrative hearings, briefed subsequent appeals, and litigated all actions filed against my clients. After serving my time with the state, I recentered my passion to focus on advocating for people in my community, rather than state agencies. I started my own practice, where I served as a fractional general counsel for local businesses in the Columbus area. Through running my practice, I developed a personal understanding of the struggles and triumphs of the business owners I was advocating for. I now carry that experience forward to advocate for you, but with the support of the Cook, Sladoje & Wittenberg team.
Outside of law, I have a deep appreciation for barbeque, which was mostly developed through my time in South Carolina. I graduated from University of South Carolina School of Law in 2017. And yes, mustard-based sauce is my favorite. The long hours of studying law also taught me the joys of coffee. I now roast my own beans, of which I love to share.
As an Akron native, I grew up appreciating hands on blue-collar work. I spent summer breaks from the University of Akron splitting my time between helping with my family’s HVAC business and working for a construction and concrete business. I graduated from the University of Akron in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in political science. Despite my schooling, I continue to find hands on work much more enjoyable than politics.
I currently live in Worthington with my wife, Sarah, daughter, Adaline, and puppy, Beauregard. Sarah and I also run a wedding photography studio. Photography provides us with a healthy balance of creativity for our technical and analytical careers.
